The refreshed seven-seat plug-in hybrid MPV gains zero-gravity massage seats, larger screens and up to 108km of electric range. VINCAR Group is offering it at S$294,100 until 4 November
Singapore — If you are going to spend a good part of your day ferrying people around, you might as well make sure they are comfortable. GAC seems to have taken that rather literally with the refreshed E9 Premium, which puts greater emphasis on passenger comfort, cabin technology and a more refined interior.

The seven-seat plug-in hybrid MPV, distributed locally by VINCAR Group, builds on the previous E9 with a series of updates. The biggest changes are found in the second row, where new zero-gravity seats now come with a one-touch SPA Mode and a 16-point massage function, up from the previous 10-point system.
There is also additional lumbar support adjustment, while the driver and front passenger get their own 10-point massage seats… mmmm very nice…

A little more lounge, a little less commute
The cabin receives more brown interior trimming, giving it a warmer appearance. Both the first and second rows also get heated and ventilated seats, while a built-in 7-litre refrigerator can keep drinks chilled or warm them up.

It is quite a list of creature comforts, although the second-row seats are clearly the boss. With the addition of SPA Mode and the upgraded massage function, the E9 Premium is making a rather convincing case for spending more time being driven than doing the driving.

Technology has also received a useful update. The central infotainment display has grown from 10.1 inches to 14.6 inches, while rear passengers get a new 15.6-inch HD entertainment screen.
The second-row armrest control screens have also been upgraded. From their seats, passengers can manage music and air-conditioning, as well as open and close the sliding doors. It is a small convenience, but it really means that you don’t have to get up to close the sliding door.

Plug-in hybrid power with up to 1,032km of range!
Under the bonnet, the GAC E9 Premium pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined system output of 274kW.

Its 25.57kWh battery delivers a WLTP-rated pure electric driving range of up to 108km. GAC also quotes a combined WLTP driving range of up to 1,032km, giving the plug-in hybrid MPV the flexibility to handle shorter daily journeys on electric power while retaining the ability to cover longer distances.
Our Chief-Ed got curious and made his calculations. And then he told us that it is almost the driving distance between the GAC showroom at 24 Leng Kee Road, and the Cameron Highlands Resort… the latter which is where he sat down for an old English style tea time one afternoon.

Driver assistance equipment includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Fusion Automatic Parking Assist and a 540-degree panoramic camera system.

GAC E9 Premium – How Much?
The refreshed GAC E9 Premium is available through VINCAR Group at a promotional price of S$294,100, down from its usual price of S$299,988. That represents a saving of S$5,888.

The offer also includes a guaranteed COE and an insurance subsidy of up to S$2,000. However, there is a fairly short window to take advantage of it: the promotion is valid until 4 November 2026, subject to terms and conditions.
The E9 Premium can be viewed at GAC by VINCAR Group’s showrooms at 24 Leng Kee Road, PLQ Mall and Punggol Coast Mall.
