A word from the editor

I’ve spent more than a decade in automotive media, which means I’ve driven quite a few cars, travelled a fair bit for work, and accumulated more opinions than are probably necessary.
But spending time around cars has also taught me that the story rarely ends with the drive. There’s the technology that goes into them, the people who build them, the places they take us, and the experiences we pick up along the way.
That’s what I want Asphalt Singapore to reflect.
Cars will always be our starting point. I still believe a good review should not be just about how many inches a touchscreen measures. Numbers matter, of course. So does how a car makes you feel when you’re behind the wheel, whether it fits into everyday life, and whether it lives up to the promises made about it.
Beyond cars, I’m interested in the technology, travel, lifestyle and attainable luxuries that make life more enjoyable. Not everything needs to be extravagant, and not everything with a premium badge is worth the asking price.
Ultimately, Asphalt Singapore is a place for honest observations, considered opinions and the occasional detour. If there’s a good story to tell, I’d like to tell it.
And if I happen to find a good road along the way, all the better.
