The seven-seat electric SUV combines even more family practicality, AI-powered technology and impressive driving range

Singapore โ€“ Mercedes-Benz Singapore has pulled the wraps off the all-new electric GLB, introducing a fully electric version of one of its most popular family SUVs. Blending seven-seat versatility with a significantly more advanced digital experience, the new Mercedes-Benz GLB aims to make the transition to electric mobility easier than ever for modern families.

Available in Singapore as the GLB 200 electric PROGRESSIVE and the GLB 250+ electric AMG Line Sport, the new SUV delivers a compelling mix of practicality, long-distance capability and premium comfort.

Last night, I tossed-da pizza!

The headline figure belongs to the GLB 250+, which boasts an impressive WLTP range of up to 674km, making it one of the longest-range electric SUVs in its segment. Thanks to its new 800-volt electrical architecture, the SUV can also recover up to 260km of driving range in just 10 minutes at compatible DC fast chargers.

Mercedes-Benz says the new GLB has been designed around the realities of everyday family life. As before, it remains one of the few compact luxury SUVs to offer seven seats, but now with improved rear passenger accommodation thanks to a 60mm longer wheelbase, increased headroom and easier access to the third row.

Practicality has also taken a significant leap forward. The new GLB features a 127-litre frunk โ€” the largest in Mercedes-Benz’s new electric model family to date โ€” while the rear luggage compartment offers up to 480 litres with all seats in place, expanding to 1,605 litres when the rear seats are folded.

Inside, the cabin receives one of the brand’s biggest technology upgrades to date. Running on the latest Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the SUV debuts the newest generation of MBUX infotainment, complete with the panoramic MBUX Superscreen, AI-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant, and over-the-air software updates.

The AI assistant is capable of natural conversations, contextual follow-up questions and navigation powered by Google Maps, while integrating technologies from ChatGPT and Google Gemini to provide more intuitive voice interactions.

Beyond infotainment, the GLB also benefits from Mercedes-Benz’s latest suite of driver assistance technologies under the MB.DRIVE umbrella, alongside a comprehensive collection of active and passive safety systems that include a centre airbag, advanced parking assistance and extensive child-seat compatibility.

Powering the range are two electric drivetrains. The entry-level GLB 200 electric produces 110kW and offers up to 453km of range, while the GLB 250+ develops 200kW, reaching 100km/h in 7.4 seconds before continuing to a top speed of 210km/h.

Charging has also been simplified through MB.CHARGE Public, allowing owners to access more than 7,000 public charging points via a single app with integrated payment and real-time charger availability.

Everybody… Rise.

โ€œSince its introduction, the GLB has been our best-selling family SUV in Singapore, reflecting the trust customers place in its versatility and how seamlessly it fits into their everyday lives. The all-new GLB builds on this success with more space and MB.OS for a seamless digital experience, and, for the first time, a fully electric variant enabled by an 800-volt architecture for fast, efficient charging. The all-new GLB reflects our mission to build cars that are as practical as they are desirable, meeting the evolving mobility needs of our customers,โ€ said Marcel Luis Mustelier Perez, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Singapore.

The all-new electric Mercedes-Benz GLB is now available for order in Singapore, with indicative pricing (including current COE pricing) starting from S$280,888 for the GLB 200 electric PROGRESSIVE and S$310,888 for the GLB 250+ electric AMG Line Sport.

ICE variants of the new GLB are expected to arrive later this year, with pricing and availability to be announced closer to launch.
