Premium Japanese rim manufacturer, RAYS Wheels showcases their latest at Stamford Tyres
SINGAPORE – Some say that ‘Rims Maketh The Car’. After six years, the RAYS World Tour comes full circle to Singapore. Stamford Tyres, which is their official distributor of RAYS Wheels, played host to the premium Japanese rim brand at their Jurong Flagship Store.

Singapore’s second RAYS World Tour which took place over the weekend of 19 and 20 July, showcased some of the brand’s latest designs, and included the unveiling of the 23-inch TE37GC aluminium wheel – designed for heavier, higher-powered vehicles. RAYS Wheels President, Mr Shotaru Shiba, who was present at the brand’s press event, was particularly proud of the rim model; which saw its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon, noting that it was challenging to create, due to it being the brand’s first 23-inch model, and for each rim’s ability to handle a 900kg load.

Mr Shiba and his team also took the opportunity to introduce RAYS Wheels’ sub-brand, MID WHEELS. If it rings a bell, MID WHEELS was created by Maruka Service, to which RAYS has acquired. Positioned to be the more affordable brand, MID WHEELS are manufactured outside their home country, to make them more affordable.

In addition to affordability, the MID WHEELS marque offers greater product flexibility, which the parent needs, as RAYS Wheels are focused on manufacturing high-performance forged aluminium wheels. One example of this product flexibility was on display during the event, which were Element Sikth rims, with their carbon fibre barrels.

If you feel that your ride could use more street cred, pay a visit to the Stamford Tyres flagship store at 19 Lok Yang Way, Singapore 628635, and view their vast selection of RAYS Wheels and MID WHEELS.
