Nissan has reopened its renovated Ubi flagship showroom with the new 2027 Serena e-POWER and previews of three new models coming to Singapore.

Singapore โ€” Nissan has given its Ubi home a sizeable makeover, with the newly renovated Nissan Ubi Flagship Showroom officially opening its doors โ€” and bringing along a rather interesting preview of what is coming next for the brand in Singapore.

Presented by Tan Chong Motor Sales, Nissanโ€™s exclusive distributor here, the refreshed showroom now brings Sales and Service together under one roof. More importantly for prospective Nissan owners, it also doubles as the launch pad for the new Model Year 2027 Serena e-POWER and a preview of several new models heading our way.

A more integrated Nissan showroom

The renovated showroom has been designed around a more seamless sales and ownership experience, with the Service Reception and Customer Lounge now integrated into the main showroom.

There are also dedicated consultation areas where customers can explore Nissanโ€™s vehicles, technology and ownership solutions with the sales team.

The visual centrepiece is a new signature LED video wall, which Nissan says is believed to be one of the longest LED video walls in a Singapore car showroom. Because apparently even car showrooms need their own cinema-sized moment these days.

More importantly, bringing sales and after-sales facilities together should make the customer journey a little less fragmented, particularly for owners returning to the showroom for servicing or other support.

New Nissan Serena e-POWER arrives in Singapore

The showroom reopening also coincides with the Singapore launch of the new Model Year 2027 Nissan Serena e-POWER.

The Serena remains Nissanโ€™s best-selling model in Singapore and continues to be offered in two variants: Prestige 7 and Smart 8.

The latter retains one of the Serenaโ€™s more useful party tricks โ€” the ability to switch between seven- and eight-seat configurations depending on what, or rather who, needs to fit inside.

For the 2027 model year, Nissan has added new colour choices and upgraded some of the Serenaโ€™s technology.

The Intelligent Around View Monitor now features 3D rendering, giving drivers a more comprehensive view around the vehicle when manoeuvring. ProPILOT Assist 1.0 is also included, providing driver assistance for highway cruising and urban traffic.

No! It is not a massage chair!

The Serena continues to use Nissanโ€™s e-POWER system, where the wheels are driven electrically while the petrol engine acts as a generator. That means drivers get the smoothness and responsiveness of electric drive without needing to plug the MPV into a charger.

For Singaporean families, that combination remains particularly relevant. You get the driving characteristics of an EV, but retain the convenience of pulling into a petrol station rather than planning your next charging stop.

Three new Nissan models previewed

The bigger story, however, may be what was sitting just around the corner.

Nissan used the showroom opening to preview three upcoming models that are planned for Singapore, starting with the all-new Nissan KAIT e-POWER.

The compact crossover will be positioned as a Cat A model, bringing Nissan’s e-POWER electrified drivetrain to a smaller and potentially more accessible segment of the market.

Joining it will be the new Model Year 2027 Nissan X-Trail e-POWER e-4ORCE.

The updated X-Trail gets Nissan’s dual-electric-motor e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system, designed to provide greater control during acceleration, cornering and braking across different road and terrain conditions.

It also receives an upgraded Intelligent Around View Monitor with 3D rendering and an invisible bonnet view, which should prove rather handy when navigating Singapore’s car parks and narrow multi-storey ramps.

Visually, the updated X-Trail gets a refreshed V-Motion grille, gloss-black bumper detailing and redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels.

Elgrand e-POWER e-4ORCE heads for Singapore

The all-new Nissan Elgrand e-POWER e-4ORCE will become Nissan’s new flagship luxury MPV, bringing a larger dose of space, technology and electrified performance to the range.

The latest Elgrand was only launched in Japan two months ago, and our Chief-Ed actually got a sneak peek of the car during the Japan Mobility Show last year. Interestingly, Nissan says it has already accumulated more than 10,000 orders there.

For Singapore, where luxury MPVs are a familiar sight outside hotels, offices and the occasional primary school, the arrival of an electrified Elgrand could make things rather interesting.

And Nissan isn’t stopping there.

According to Tan Chong Motor Sales, as many as 10 new additions to the Nissan line-up are planned for Singapore over the next 12 to 24 months, covering a broader range of segments, body styles and electrified technologies.

A new chapter for Nissan in Singapore

For Tan Chong Motor Sales, the showroom renovation is intended to represent more than a physical facelift.

โ€œToday marks an important milestone for Nissan and Tan Chong Motor Sales. This showroom is more than a renovation; it represents our continued commitment to improving the experience for our customers, from the moment they walk through our doors to many years into their ownership journey,โ€ said Ron Lim, Sales & Marketing Head, Tan Chong Motor Sales.

With the new Serena e-POWER now launched and three more models previewed, the Ubi showroom is effectively giving Singaporeans a look at Nissan’s next chapter.

And with up to 10 new models planned over the next two years, there should be considerably more to look at the next time you find yourself in Ubi.
