The three-day event at Marina Bay Sands celebrates a wide-ranging mobility ecosystem through lifestyle, music, and community action

Singapore – Toyota Singapore launched their โ€˜CONNECTED IN MOBILITYโ€™ Showcase at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza on Friday, 22 May. The three-day event invites the public to explore how a diverse mobility ecosystem can meet the evolving needs of Singaporeans.

Toyotaโ€™s vision for mobility extends beyond the vehicles, encompassing the entire mobility journey and broader urban ecosystem. The event included various partners who complemented their vision.

Toyotaโ€™s collaboration with Shell reflects a shared commitment towards supporting more seamless and accessible mobility journeys in Singapore. The petrochemical giant offers both conventional fuel solutions and EV charging infrastructure, which reinforces Toyotaโ€™s multi-pathway approach in providing practical and flexible energy options to support different mobility needs.ย

Toyotaโ€™s vision also extends to how people move within cities. Visitors can explore how Bromptonโ€™s foldable bicycles can work to create more seamless urban journeys. The exhibit reflects a shared belief that mobility should be flexible, connected and adaptable to different lifestyles.

The Brompton partnership also carries significant community focus, as Toyota and Brompton are also launching an initiative to collect and refurbish pre-loved bicycles. The bicycles will be donated to beneficiaries at Care Corner Singapore, Chen Su Lan Methodist Childrenโ€™s Home, the Singapore Childrenโ€™s Society, and Autism Resource Centre (Singapore). By giving these bicycles a second life, the initiative aims to support everyday mobility needs and strengthen community connections through a culture of giving.

Visitors can also dive into immersive experience zones which cater to all ages. These include:

MOVE YOUR WORLD BEAT: An immersive installation where guests can experience the fusion of music and movement through custom video activations.

HEV & BEV Education Zone:
The zone features a hybrid cut-car exhibit developed in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic, alongside an augmented reality experience for Battery Electric Vehicles to help visitors better understand electrified drivetrain technology in an engaging and accessible way.

Childrenโ€™s Play Zone:
Created in partnership with SP Group, this space allows younger visitors to explore different energy solutions through an interactive driving track.

Nightly Waterfront Light Show:
A choreographed performance of light, music, and motion set against the Marina Bay skyline, running nightly at 8:15 PM and 9:15 PM.

โ€œCONNECTED IN MOBILITY reflects Toyotaโ€™s belief that the future of mobility is not defined by a single solution, but by providing people with the power of choice. Through the introduction of the All-New Urban Cruiser and All-New bZ4X Touring, alongside our established Hybrid Electric Vehicle line-up, we hope to support different lifestyles and mobility needs as Singapore progresses towards a more sustainable future,โ€ said Ng Khee Siong, Managing Director, Borneo Motors Singapore.

At the event, Toyota also unveiled two new Battery Electric Vehicles.

The Urban Cruiser is a compact SUV, ideal for city driving. Featuring Toyotaโ€™s signature Hammerhead front design, the Urban Cruiser has a versatile interior with up to 562 litres of cargo space for everyday practicality.

The bZ4X Touring is a more versatile and more powerful version of the recently unveiled bZ4X SUV. An all-wheel drive drivetrain puts out 375hp for enhanced performance. An extended rear end delivers more cargo space and occupants can enjoy a premium 9-speaker JBL sound system.
