VINCAR EV, announced the launch of the Hyptec HT. A luxury EV with gullwing doors, designed for you to be driven in

Singapore – Hyptec, the luxury sub-brand of GAC Aion, has officially entered the Singapore market with its first model, the HT electric SUV. For those who are unfamiliar, Hyptec had already gained traction globally with the SSR tri-motor supercar, which clocks 100km/h in an eye-watering 1.9 seconds.

The Hyptec marque arrives at a time, where competition from fellow Chinese brands is becoming increasingly stiff in Singapore. Of late, Chinese automakers have been courting the region, since the West has become less welcoming.

With real wood inserts, and supple Nappa leather upholstery and Tesla Model X-aping large rear gullwing doors (in the Luxury variant) for easy access, the Hyptec HT Midsize SUV is clearly aimed at the well-heeled. There are two variants available – Premium and the earlier-mentioned Luxury. The latter is designed with chauffeur-driven customers in-mind. The rear seats are equipped with the ability to recline up to 143 degrees, complete with footrest and folding tray table behind each front seat.

The gullwing doors only need 34cm of clearance to open. They also feature 12 sensors, as part of its ‘smart obstacle avoidance system’, which helps to ensure that the doors do not come in contact with other parked vehicles or against the ceiling of a multistory carpark.

Both HT variants are equipped with ventilated front seats with five massage programmes to choose from. The infotainment is fronted by a 14.6-inch touchscreen, while an 8.8-inch driver display sits just North of the steering wheel. Audio is from a premium 22-speaker Dolby-Atmos system, which includes a subwoofer, and two speakers embedded in the driver’s seat.

While with a footprint similar to that of a BMW iX, the Hyptec HT does have a significantly larger boot, boasting 672 litres of cargo space. There is also additional storage underneath the boot floor, for items which you may want to keep out of sight.

Built upon GAC Aion’s latest-generation AEP 3.0 platform, the HT’s 800V architecture supports up to 280kW of DC charge. With a WLTP-rated range of 520km, its 83.3kWh LFP battery is able to charge from 10 to 70-percent in only 15 minutes.

Vincar EV, the official dealer for GAC Aion and Hyptec here, is retailing the HT Premium at $230,988, inclusive of COE, while the HT Luxury retails for $260,988… 30k more for those fancy doors.

Vincar is offering a lifetime warranty for the car’s power system, battery and its motor. This is in addition to its standard aftersales package which already comes paired with the HT. The standard package includes free servicing for 10 years/200,000km (whichever comes first) and an eight year/160,000km general warranty. For the Luxury variant, the gullwing doors are further covered by an eight year/240,000km warranty.
