Singapore is the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to witness the launch of Rolls-Royce’s driver-focused Ghost Series II
Singapore – Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, the makers of luxurious whisper-quiet transport unveiled the Ghost Series II, one of the most important cars for the storied British ultra-luxury automaker.
The Ghost represents a more approachable and versatile expression of the Rolls-Royce brand. The new sedan retains all the principles the first generation car brought to its clientele, when the latter was first introduced in 2009.

The new Series II is their most technologically advanced and driver-focused Rolls-Royce yet, featuring a Planar Suspension which on its own, is designed for optimum ride quality and improved drive dynamics. Bolstering the suspension system, Rolls-Royce has incorporated their Flagbearer dual-camera system, to read the road ahead, and to prime the suspension for an optimum ride. Other innovations include a Satellite Aided Transmission, which pre-selects gears, in-order to make the best of its buttery-smooth 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12.

“Our clients truly appreciate Ghost’s handling capabilities and its potential for Bespoke. Ghost Series II remains faithful to its principles, yet it elevates every aspect of its presence. It is the most technologically advanced and driver-focused V12 Rolls-Royce ever created and its self-assured appearance serves as a potent stage for creatively daring commissions – making it the perfect driver-focused touring machine.” said Irene Nikkein, Regional Director Asia-Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

The signature illuminated Rolls-Royce Pantheon grille sits within a distilled front-end, flanked by an updated headlight and DRL cluster; placing greater emphasis on its monolithic design approach. At the rear, a new tail lamp configuration, inspired by the Spectre completes the car. Clients can choose from two new 22-inch, 9-spoke wheel designs, and also select from no less than 67 readily-available main exterior colours.

The celebration of unparalleled craftsmanship continues on the interior. Clients will enjoy best of both analogue and digital fitments, including a new Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet which graces the dashboard; housing an analogue timepiece, accompanied by an up-lit, mirror-polished, solid stainless-steel Spirit of Ecstasy figurine. The new pillar-to-pillar glass panel incorporates the RR’s advanced SPIRIT operating system. Whispers, their private members app, allows owners to manage vehicle locking remotely, and send destinations directly to their vehicle.

Grey Stained Ash, a new material with a development time of four years, has been created to complement the Ghost Series II’s interior. The richly grained, natural open-pore wood, which is stained by hand, is further enriched with metallic particles at a microscopic level, to create a highly contemporary shimmering effect. The exploration of textures continues with seat fabrics, derived from bamboo. The Duality Twill design on the seats, is an abstract interpretation of the interlinked initial R of the marque’s founders’ names, and also the interweaving rope lines found on sailing yachts. Each Duality Twill interior incorporates 2.2 million stitches, utilising some eleven miles of thread, and can take 20 hours to complete.

As an alternative to the fabric interior, buyers can also opt for a Placed Perforation interior – an innovative craft technique in which varying small perforations are made in the seat leather to create unique artwork, inspired by the shifting shapes and shadows of clouds over the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood.

“We are thrilled to be the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to unveil Ghost Series II. This model has grown to be one of the most-loved models for Singapore clients over the years, with each evolution reinforcing its potential as a platform for personal expression as well as engineering dynamism.” said Renee Chua, Managing Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Singapore.

The Ghost Series II begins at S$1,858,888, the Ghost Extended Series II at S$2,078,888, while the Black Badge Ghost Series II starts from S$2,168,888.
