New Luxury is the buzzword as AVATR Launches in Singapore with AVATR 11

Premium Automobiles’ fourth automotive brand breaks cover. The AVATR 11 marks an era of “New Luxury”, with flying buttresses, Nappa leather and something about Huawei

Singapore – AVATR has officially made its debut in Singapore on 25 July, at an exclusive launch event at Capella Singapore. Designed to embody the brand’s vision of “New Luxury”, AVATR reimagines premium electric mobility through intelligent technology and contemporary design. Founded in 2018, AVATR stands as a collaboration between China state automotive group CHANGAN Automobile, Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Ltd (CATL), as well as technology powerhouse Huawei.

The AVATR 11, a mid-size SUV that combines supercar design with SUV practicality, is one such product of this collaboration, that additionally won the 2024 Red Dot Design Award. Inspired by spacecraft aesthetics, its UFO-like front fascia that covers a 95-litre frunk curves back to F-shaped LED headlamps and a panoramic sunroof. Continue along the sculpted surfaces and you’ll find flushed door handles on frameless smart electric doors, and a rear with flying buttresses which seem to hint of Jaguar XJS, full-width LED taillights, and star-ring detailing sitting over a 490 litre boot.

The interior beholds a quiet and luxurious cabin in rich NAPPA leather. Front dual zero-gravity seats elevate comfort with both ventilation and heating, as well as five massage modes with adjustable intensity. Twenty-two cavity partitions and all-round leather wrapped interior door panels create a calm, silent ride, but on the other end of the spectrum, a 25-speaker Meridian sound system delivers top-tier audio experiences. For further personalisation, 256 options of ambient lighting sit ready for your preferred driving mood. All this is anchored by a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, complemented by a 10.25-inch LCD driver display and a 10.25-inch passenger screen.

The AVATR 11’s suspension system combines front double wishbones with a rear five-link suspension, offering stability, comfort, and control. This sits on 21-inch alloy wheels for the Standard Range, and 22-inch alloy wheels with Brembo brakes for the Long Range variant.

Powered by CATL batteries, the AVATR 11 produces 230kW of power and 370Nm of torque. The Standard Range does 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds and delivers a WLTP driving range of 475km, while the Long Range takes 6.9 seconds, and delivers 600km on a full charge. With the 240kW DC super charging system, the 90kWh battery charges from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes, and the 116kWh variant in 25 minutes.

The vehicle is programmed with a suite of intelligent driving assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and automatic parking assist. A 360° surround view monitoring and transparent chassis imaging offers a real-time view of your surroundings. This enhances awareness and control in every driving situation including precise and safe assisted parking.
