Chinese luxury EV brand, DEEPAL, gets a new home in the heart of Singapore’s automotive belt. Unveils S07 mid-sized SUV

Singapore – Chinese premium EV brand, DEEPAL, gets a new home in the heart of Singapore’s automotive belt. DEEPAL, a sub-brand of Changan Automobile, first debuted at the 2025 Singapore Motorshow in January, with the unveiling of the S07 midsize luxury SUV.

Premium Automobiles, which represents the brand, is also the authorised dealer for fellow Chinese EV marques, ZEEKR and XPENG. The showroom, which is located at 281 Alexandra Road, previously housed Audi, before the German luxury marque announced their shift to direct selling.

“DEEPAL is poised to be a world-class automotive brand,” said Mr Shen Xing Hua, Managing Director of CHANGAN Auto Southeast Asia. “With a global network of over 1,000 suppliers and dealers, including our latest partnership with Premium Automobiles, we are accelerating towards that vision.”

The S07 which is built on DEEPAL’s EPA1 platform, is powered by a 79.97kWh NMC lithium battery, which features a patented intelligent Battery Control (iBC) digital battery management system, DEEPAL says, optimises performance, safety, and its longevity. The battery boasts a charge time of 30 to 80-percent in 35 minutes, and has a WLTP WLTP driving range of up to 475 km. It puts out 215hp (160kW) and 320Nm, which allows it to achieve 100km/h in 7.9 seconds.

The S07, which is designed in Turin, boasts stylish lines, and features a luxurious and highly-functional yacht-inspired cabin. Leather upholstery and polished wood veneer trim on the doors, are complemented by 64-colour ambient lighting. Occupants in the front benefit from dual-layer soundproof windows, which will significantly reduce road and traffic noise.

Taking centrestage on the dashboard, is a 15.6-inch Sunflower touchscreen infotainment panel, which has voice control capabilities. An AR-Head-up Display (AR-HUD), provides real-time panoramic road conditions and AR navigational guidance for the driver, which allows for easier and safer wayfinding.

The S07 SUV retails at S$220,999, inclusive of COE.
