McLaren’s performance-driven approach is moving beyond four wheels, with its Series 1 and Series 3 golf collections arriving in Southeast Asia

Singapore — McLaren is taking its performance credentials from the track to the golf course. McLaren Golf has entered Southeast Asia, appointing Singapore-based golf retailer and distributor Leonian as its authorised retail partner in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

The launch comes ahead of the Singapore Formula 1 race weekend, making it a timely meeting of two worlds that share a fondness for precision, performance and equipment that looks rather good while doing its job.

Under the partnership, McLaren Golf products will be available through selected Leonian retail outlets and distribution channels across the three markets from October 2026.

Neil Howie, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Golf, described Southeast Asia as an important growth market for premium golf products, with Leonian providing an established retail network for the brand’s regional expansion.

From the pit lane to the fairway

Built around the engineering DNA of McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive, McLaren Golf operates from the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England, as well as Carlsbad, California — a major hub for golf equipment design and development. It brings together expertise from the automotive and golf industries in developing its products.

Beginning with Irons

The initial launch features the Series 1 and Series 3 collections, which combine premium aesthetics with a performance-focused approach. The use of Metal Injection Molding (MIM) instead of the more common process of forging, is the prefered choice as McLaren Golf claims, allows for an even more complex geometries, which traditional Investment Casting and Billet Forging are not able to achieve. The heads include internal Tungsten weighting to for the calibration of the center of gravity (CG) and moment of inertia (MOI).

Leonian brings McLaren Golf to the region

Leonian, which is headquartered in Singapore, operates across several Southeast Asian markets and represents a portfolio of international golf brands. The company is also the Southeast Asian headquarters of Japan’s XEBIO Holdings.

The partnership adds McLaren Golf to Leonian’s existing portfolio, giving golfers in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand access to the new brand through selected retail locations and channels.

Kenya Shidara, Head of Distribution (SEA) at Leonian, said the company aims to bring innovative and desirable golf brands to players across the region, adding that McLaren Golf’s combination of performance, design and engineering would appeal to golfers who value quality and craftsmanship.

For golfers keen to see what happens when a name associated with supercars and Formula 1 turns its attention to the fairway, McLaren Golf’s initial collections are now making their way into selected stores.
