A 435km WLTP range and a tech-rich cabin position the new ORA 5 as a stylish alternative in Singapore’s growing EV market
Singapore – GWM ORA has expanded its electric vehicle line-up in Singapore with the launch of the new ORA 5, the brand’s first fully electric SUV and its most versatile model yet. Introduced by Cycle & Carriage, the ORA 5 joins the ORA Good Cat and ORA 07 as the latest addition to the Chinese marque’s design-led EV range.

Priced from S$177,999 with Category A COE, the ORA 5 arrives with a distinctive character that sets it apart from the increasingly crowded electric SUV segment. Its rounded styling and nature-inspired design language earned it the distinction of becoming the first production vehicle to win the Automotive Product Design category at the London Design Awards in 2025.

Measuring 4,471mm in length with a 2,720mm wheelbase, the ORA 5 is sized for urban life while offering a spacious cabin. Inside, occupants are greeted by a minimalist interior centred around a 14.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Features such as ventilated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, 64-colour ambient lighting and a 50W wireless charger reinforce its premium aspirations.

Power comes from a 58.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 134bhp and 260Nm of torque. The result is a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 435km, while DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 20 to 80 percent in around 25 minutes.

Technology plays a central role, with GWM’s latest Coffee OS 3.0 infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, intelligent voice controls and multiple cabin modes designed to adapt the vehicle to different lifestyles and driving scenarios.
Safety is equally comprehensive, with a five-star Euro NCAP rating and more than 20 driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane centring assist and a 360-degree camera system.

“The ORA 5 eSUV represents a new chapter for the brand in Singapore. It brings together award-winning design, intelligent technology and genuine everyday practicality in a package that we believe will appeal to discerning electric vehicle buyers,” Dawn Pan, Chief Operating Officer of Multi-Franchise Operations at Cycle & Carriage, said. “Electric SUVs today can sometimes look and feel homogenous. The ORA 5 eSUV was built to a very different brief that started with design, with character, and with the driver. That is what makes it stand apart.”
The ORA 5 is now available at the Cycle & Carriage ORA showroom, backed by a 10-year battery warranty, 10 years of free servicing and a six-year vehicle warranty.
