Jaecoo now offers the popular J6 electric SUV as a Category A COE car
Singapore – On 11 July, Jaecoo officially launched the all-new, all-electric J6 eSUV in a Cat A COE variant, as a more accessible entry point into the Jaecoo lineup for adventure-seeking drivers. Blending refined aesthetics with rugged go-anywhere inspiration.
The J6 was unveiled in an event themed ‘STYLE-MY-J6’, in which a few automotive journalists and influencers were tasked to design a J6 in their individual styles and interpretations. This unique showcase emphasised ideas of personalisation and expression, where guests could experience the potential of bold and versatile styling up-close.

The exterior of the J6 is defined by sharp angles, wide fender flares, and a striking cubiform silhouette in Jaecoo’s signature eCUBE design. LED headlights with daytime running lights and taillights with a ‘Follow Me Home’ function create an unmistakable front. These bold, athletic proportions intend to convey purpose and confidence while commanding attention.

The interior balances ease and sophistication, boasting a 9.2-inch full LCD instrument cluster beside a 15.6-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This way, you can seamlessly blast your favourite tunes through the J6’s 8-speaker Dynamic Pioneer system.
Other convenience functions include 50W wireless charging with cooling systems, a voice assistant, as well as USB ports dotted from front to rear. Both the driver and passenger seats are electrically adjustable with ventilation and massage functions, which play perfectly into its intention of being a capable, comfortable long-distance hauler.

Speaking of passengers, it’s not restricted to human passengers. Your pets can tag along for a road trip too, given the ample space across spacious eco-leather seats and Pet Mode Function. A great feature, since animals love nature as much as humans (arguably more so, I would assume).

And speaking of long distances, the Jaecoo J6’s 65.69kWh battery claims an efficient consumption of 21.5kWh/100km, giving it a WLTP range of 507km to take you further down the road on a single charge. Rear motor power of 135hp (99kW and 220Nm of torque means you can take the J6’s weight of over 2.1 tons to complete the century sprint in 10.5 seconds.

With 4 drive modes ready at a tap on the infotainment, you can tackle any kind of ground with confidence, given the car’s 195mm of ground clearance and 600mm fording depth for uneven terrains and water crossings. Add on a 28° ramp angle and 32° departure angle, and steep inclines and sharp descents become less of a threat and more of a trivial obstacle.

Other than being the adventurous go-getter, this eSUV proves itself capable as an everyday car as well. The boot sits at a sufficient 450L of cargo space, and the rear seats can also be folded down to expand up to 1,238L of storage space whenever necessary. A soft-closing swing-type tailgate also ensures convenient access if you have your hands full.

Besides the J6’s offensive capabilities outwards to terrains, its defensive capabilities inwards are not to be ignored. 13 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, rear collision warning, blind spot detection, as well as emergency lane keeping, make sure your drive is as safe as it is pleasant.
The Cat A J6 eSUV starts at $169,888, and is available for viewing and test drives at 3 Ubi Road 4.
