The four-door coupe has been redesigned while getting a range of infotainment, comfort and safety upgrades
Singapore – Following a strong finish to 2024, BMW Asia has announced a record-breaking Q1 this year, with a 13% increase over Q1 in 2024. This is primarily due to strong BEV sales across all BMW Asia markets and a particularly strong period for BMW Indonesia, which experienced a record high for Q1 sales.
BMW Asiaโs unveiling of the all-new BMW 216 Gran Coupรฉ in Singapore provides a compelling offering to our local premium compact segment, with the newly refreshed sedan emphasising sportiness and elegance.

The Gran Coupรฉโs signature BMW kidney grilles now feature a unique design of vertical and diagonal bars. Its standard Adaptive LED headlights are also equipped with glare-free matrix high beam, cornering light functions, and blue accentuations. At the rear, the tailights have been remodelled too for a sleeker and sportier appearance overall.

On the inside, state-of-the-art seats aim to offer maximum comfort on long journeys. As part of the standard M Sport package, the sports steering wheel has also been redesigned and features paddleshifters for manual gear changes. Boot space isnโt bad either, with a storage volume of 430 litres.
Speaking of the standard M Sport package, the package includes adaptive M suspension that comes with sports steering, and ensures both comfort and agility through newly developed shock absorbers. The vehicle can also be lowered up to 8mm.
On the inside, the Gran Coupeโs BMW iDrive is based on the quick and intuitive BMW Operating System 9. The industry-wide issue of functions being buried under layers of submenus has also been solved with QuickSelect, which enables the vehicleโs main commands to be accessed directly and hassle-free. Combined with multifunction steering wheel buttons and voice control, BMW has made the interior high-tech while minimising distractions during driving.

Included as standard is BMW Live Cockpit Plus, which features BMW Maps, the marqueโs latest cloud-based navigation system.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available as standard, while additional functions and infotainment improvements can be downloaded to the vehicle via over-the-air software upgrades. Conveniently, the optional BMW Digital Key Plus allows compatible smartphones and smart watches to act as a physical key.

Under the bonnet is a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which makes 122hp of power and 230Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100km/h takes 9.9 seconds, making it adequate for Singapore city driving.
Changes to the chassis and body structure make the car more agile by improving the carโs steering and cornering dynamics. New shock absorber technology, wheel slip limitation and an integrated braking system also ensure safety for passengers.
Additionally, a host of driving assistance features are also included as standard, such as Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Exit Warning, Speed Limit Info and Reversing Assistant.

“The all-new BMW 216 Gran Coupรฉ is the latest addition to our growing list of CAT A COE offerings in Singapore. With even more options to choose from when browsing for their new car, customers have the freedom to decide what works best for their needs,โ said Lars Nielsen, Managing Director, BMW Group Asia. โFor those who want something a bit more edgy, the BMW 216 Gran Coupรฉโs swooping silhouette and frameless side windows will capture attention. However, behind the wheel is where drivers get that true-blue BMW experience โ this is the key ingredient that our fans cannot get enough of!โ
