BYD debuts the SEAL 6 EV, a fully electric sedan that sits comfortably in Cat A COE territory to deliver electric mobility for urban lifestyles

Singapore – BYD, together with Sime Motors and dealer partners MotorEast, 1826, Harmony Auto, and Jack Cars, announced the Singapore launch of the BYD SEAL 6 EV. As a CAT A COE electric executive sedan, the SEAL 6 intends to expand its lineup and further boost its local presence.

First launched in March 2025, the SEAL 6 has sold more than 10,000 units per month from March and July, surpassing 50,000 cumulative units as of August 2025 across China and worldwide, underscoring widespread confidence in BYD’s latest-generation EVs.

The interior of the BYD SEAL 6 EV boasts a sleek, minimalist interior with ambient lighting, intuitive controls, and a seamless digital interface held by a 12.8-inch Intelligent Touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto next to an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. Driver experience is further enhanced by ventilated, electrically adjustable front seats, with a digital key, bluetooth key, as well as wireless charging.

Storage is both practical and flexible, with 460 litres of rear boot space and an additional 65 litre front compartment, offering ample room for work essentials, shopping hauls, or weekend bags. Other features in the SEAL 6 EV include a panoramic sunroof, regenerative braking, as well as V2L capabilities, along with a suite of safety features including a 360° view camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, as well as front collision warning.

Featuring a 95kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, the SEAL 6 EV produces 220Nm of torque and finishes the century sprint in 10.9 seconds. Powered by BYD’s advanced Blade Battery (56.64kWh), the SEAL 6 delivers 425km of WLTC-Combined range, ensuring class leading safety and driving confidence. With DC fast charging, it can be charged from 30% to 80% in 25 minutes, making it ideal as both a daily driver and for longer getaways.
