Volvo’s bestseller offers a compelling option in Singapore’s mid-size SUV market
Singapore – Volvo’s bestselling XC60 has undergone a significant refresh in design and comfort, while featuring a faster and more responsive infotainment system. In Singapore, the refreshed XC60 is now available in two variants: the XC60 T8 Plus Plug-In Hybrid and the XC60 B5 Plus Mild-Hybrid.
Following its launch in 2017, the XC60 has seen profound success as Volvo’s global top-selling model. With more than 1.5 million units sold worldwide and having achieved record sales in 2024, the new XC60 plans to bring Volvo’s sales performance to even greater heights.

“We’re excited to introduce the refreshed XC60 to Singapore’s roads,” says Corinne Chua, Managing Director for Volvo at Wearnes. “The clever application of advanced hybrid technology — offering up to 67 kilometres of electric range in the T8 Plus plug-in hybrid, and a responsive mild-hybrid drive in the B5 Plus — enhances the XC60’s credentials as a state-of-the-art modern SUV built for Singapore’s urban landscape. Coupled with our new-generation infotainment and refined Scandinavian design, the XC60 delivers the perfect balance of luxury, sustainability and practicality for Singaporean families and professionals alike.”

The XC60’s exterior design has been refreshed for a more contemporary appearance. A new front grille that features Volvo’s iconic iron mark now adorns its front end, which is complimented with sleeker-looking, darker rear lights at the back. New wheel options and new base exterior colours, Forest Lake and Aurora Silver, are now available. Mulberry Red is also a colour option for the XC60 for the first time, lifting personalisation to new heights.
The new XC60’s interior features Volvo’s state-of-the-art 11.2-inch vertical touchscreen, which now contains a range of new features and applications, together with a 21% higher pixel density for a higher-quality display. Its interface has been redesigned to respond twice as fast while being more intuitive, resulting in a safer and highly personalised infotainment experience. Moreover, built-in Google services and regular over-the-air updates prevent the system’s technology from becoming outdated.

Volvo has ensured that technology perfectly complements comfort. Nappa leather upholstery can be paired with either Natural Driftwood or White Driftwood décor inlays for a neat and luxurious cabin. If that wasn’t enough, air suspension and laminated windows are available as options for an even quieter ride. Volvo’s advanced air purification system also creates a cleaner and fresher interior atmosphere.

Sound-wise, both variants come as standard with the Harman Kardon Premium Sound System, where 14 speakers with 600 watts of power ensure an immersive audio experience. For those wanting to take it to the next level, they can upgrade to an even higher quality Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity System, which has a new speaker mesh design and precision-engineered drivers.
Enhanced storage compartments, redesigned cupholders, an upgraded wireless phone charger and a flexible, spacious load area also maintain the XC60 as a pioneer in practicality. At the back, the Plug-in Hybrid variant offers 468 litres of boot space, which increases to 1395 litres with the 2nd row of seats up. The Mild-Hybrid variant increases this capacity by a further 15 litres.

With regard to power, the Mild-Hybrid variant contains an already sufficient 250hp and 360Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in a swift 6.9 seconds. However, the Plug-in Hybrid’s 455hp and staggering 709Nm of torque help to shave this figure by an entire two seconds.
Interested customers can view the refreshed XC60 variants firsthand at the Volvo showroom at 249 Alexandra Road, and book a test drive online at www.volvocars.com/sg. Both the XC60 T8 Plus Plug-in Hybrid and XC60 B5 Plus Mild-Hybrid are now open for orders.
