I was one of a team of four, who took part in this year’s edition of the Audi Fuel Efficiency Challenge. This year, we traveled from Singapore to Ipoh, and then to Kuala Lumpur.
Our car for the challenge was the facelifted Audi A3 Sedan. Powered by a proven 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, equipped with Mild Hybridisation tech and Cylinder Deactivation. The engine is coupled to a dual-clutch transmission, which provides us with the ability to coast.
We all knew that this new Audi A3, which by the way, is Category A COE-friendly would easily do the job. We just did not know that it would do it this well!
While we won the competition, driving some 770km, and posting an average of 27.645km/l, our competition were not far-off, doing the same with an average 26.689km/l… meaning we won just by a thread.
So, here is what happened!
- A start to a new era. New BMW iX3 comes to Singapore
